Old Hollywood Style

April 14th, 2011

This week’s image was captured during the PSD Experience in Norfolk, Virginia. Pete had an opportunity to instruct and work with some amazing photographers and models. During his Film Noir program he taught how to capture the old Hollywood style glamour and this is one of his favorites from the event. As artists it’s nice to pay homage to the roots of our industry. The old Hollywood glamour we see is so different from the current standard of portraits today. It’s nice knowing that an old art form is still beautiful and dramatic and anyone can be transformed to this era!

Pete, I missed your Hollywood Lighting class at the PPNC convention. (I’ve just moved to the Raleigh area and haven’t had a chance to reconnect with the professional organizations that are here) I was curious if you had handouts or a powerpoint from that seminar that I might purchase from you. (or any other materials you might have available regarding this style of photography)
